Cent Account
Your Safe Entry to Trading
The Cent Account is a unique trading account type that allows you to trade with 100 times smaller contract sizes. This means you can practice trading with real market conditions, real spreads, and real execution, but with significantly reduced financial risk.
How It Works
When you deposit money into a Cent Account, your balance is automatically multiplied by 100 in the trading terminal:
- Deposit $10 → Account shows 1,000 cents
- Deposit $50 → Account shows 5,000 cents
- Deposit $100 → Account shows 10,000 cents
- Deposit $500 → Account shows 50,000 cents
Important: Your actual money remains the same. This is just a display conversion that makes position sizing easier and risk management more flexible.
Practical Trading Examples
Example 1: EUR/USD Trade
| Account type | Standard Account | Cent Account |
|---|---|---|
| Trade Size | 0.01 lot | 0.01 lot |
| Contract Value | $1,000 | $10 |
| 1 pip movement | $0.10 | $0.001 (0.1 cents) |
| 50 pip profit | $5.00 | $0.05 (5 cents) |
Result: Same percentage gain, but 100 times less risk per trade.
Example 2: Risk Management Practice
Let's say you want to risk 2% of your account per trade:
Standard Account with $500:
- 2% risk = $10 per trade
- With 50 pip stop loss = 0.20 lot position size
- Required margin (at 1:100 leverage) = $200
This uses 40% of your account as margin.
Cent Account with $500 (shows as 50,000 cents):
- 2% risk = 1,000 cents per trade
- With 50 pip stop loss = 0.20 lot position size
- Required margin (at 1:100 leverage) = 2,000 cents ($20)
This uses only 4% of your account as margin - much safer.
Why Cent Account Is Different
Lower Psychological Pressure
Trading with $0.05 per pip feels different than trading with $5 per pip, even if the percentage is the same.

- Focus on strategy instead of money
More Trading Opportunities
With smaller position sizes, you can:
- Open multiple positions simultaneously
- Test different currency pairs at the same time
- Practice portfolio diversification
- Learn correlation trading

- Real slippage
- Real spread fluctuations
- Real server execution delays
- Real market gaps
With a Cent Account, you can test your EA for weeks or months with minimal cost.
